Healing Benefits of Yoga
Our youth ministry brings the therapeutic and healing benefits of yoga and mindfulness to our youth. Starting in January 2018 we will be learning basic yoga positions combined with creative and practical mindfulness tools to use in daily life. The pressures of growing up in a fast-paced and “plugged-in” world do not allow our youth the opportunity to slow down observe their growing minds and bodies. With each breath, we will be cultivating a greater sense of well-being.
Eden Foster, a soon to be a certified children’s yoga and mindfulness instructor by the Mirador Yoga and Creativity School will facilitate class. The 2nd Sunday at 11:00 is Yoga and Mindfulness for our pre-school/elementary class. The 4th Sunday at 11:00 is Yoga and Mindfulness for our Uniteens and Y.O.U. (middle school and high school) class. Youth may join these classes at anytime.
